Electronics Build & Inspection Technician - America's Cup (6 month Fixed Term Contract)

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team have joined forces with INEOS Britannia, as the Challenger of Record for the 37th America’s Cup competition. This project brings together two highly complementary spheres of high-performance, high-technology engineering and sporting challenge.
The role:
As the Electronics Build & Inspection Technician on the America’s Cup Team your roles and responsibilities will include:

Electronic build of race yacht and test rig components and assemblies.

Objective dimensional inspection of products for design compliance within specified tolerances.

Subjective quality inspection of products to System-25 manufacturing standards and local Code of Practice.

PCB and Soldering inspection.

Peer build and quality checks.
-
Periodic servicing of yacht harnessing including inspection and test following documented procedures.

Reliability and Design focussed feedback through "See It, Say It, Fix It".

Adherence to H&S policies with correct PPE at all times.
What we are looking for:

Due to the fixed term nature of the position, previous experience in top level motorsport in a similar role is essential.

Knowledge of Cirrus testing and configuration will be advantageous.

Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under high pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
