Electrical / Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Systems and Services Group is currently recruiting an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler to join our team.  This position is based the Calgary facility and will  be assigned to day shift.

Reporting to the Satellite Manager, this position is responsible to have a working knowledge of  ALL STANDARD Panelboard AND/OR Control product assemblies (such as panels, 4 plex units, MCC units, trip units, limiters, CMPs and control equipment) and all related materials required to complete assembly.  Works from drawings, PO, schematics, verbal and/or written instructions from Satellite Manager and/or internal customers.

  • You will resolve availability of standard material, fabrication parts and shortages of material issues using Oracle effectively.
  • You will operate equipment and machinery for fabrication  of standard panelboards and/or control products, which includes fabrication of bus bars and brackets.
  • You will detect and correct errors in own work.
  • You will provide on the job training on standard distribution and/or control products.
  • You will perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental Standards.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 kilometers of Calgary, Alberta to be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge / experience with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge / experience with basic wiring schematic symbols
