Purpose of the Role

A specialist, hands-on role, with exposure across the whole marketing mix, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of our content marketing, leading the brands’ tone of voice, own social media marketing and monitor market intelligence across both Motorsport Tickets and Motorsport Travel Destinations brands.

We have grown our audience to more than 61 million monthly active users and over 20 million social media followers. We have sold more than one million copies of our NASCAR series of video games and market tickets and hospitality experiences to more than 100 events per year.

Motorsport Network’s events division is a fast-growing specialist provider of motorsport tickets, experiences, travel, hospitality, and exclusive events, including Le Mans 24 Hours, Formula 1 and Moto GP races, WRC rallies, the Isle of Man TT and many more.

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial leader to join our international team, expand our portfolio of partner events and to grow the hospitality, experiences, and travel arm of our business.

Principal Accountabilities:

Working as a key member of the marketing team you’ll:

  • Own and support the implementation of our content marketing strategies across information delivery, audience and associated context based on SEO intelligence
  • Lead tone of voice for the business across site, email, blog and social
  • Undertake market research on new approaches and strategies to help shape brand tone and voice
  • Work with other network wide stakeholders to nurture content solutions
  • Lead ideation, concept creation and roll out of content types required types of digital content and tailor to suit all/various platforms and channels, to meet associated business needs
  • Tailor content to suit the respective consumer journey phasing
  • Actively identify content gaps for markets served across Motorsport Tickets and Motorsport Travel Destinations
  • Manage and develop a blog strategy, utilising the existing blog, to drive sales leads and SEO improvements
  • Creation of in-house dashboard, reporting and associated learnings
  • Assisting with all associated promotional activities, internal group wide team and external agencies as required
  • Own the social media marketing plan across all networks, creating innovative digital content to serve audiences
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all content
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead, including updates to social media marketing, attribution, and programmatic media buying
  • Monitor market intelligence and keep track on competitor movement and market situation

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes Required:

We have a friendly and relaxed working environment in small team, so personality is important. Of course, this must however be coupled with the creativity, skills and desire to perform to the very highest of standards.

  • Digital Marketing Degree educated
  • 3-5 years’+ experience in a fast-paced ecommerce environment within travel or live event sectors
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • A proven track record of delivering successful content drive campaigns across news, blog and social channels
  • Experience cultivating and producing video content highly desirable
  • Travel agency and event team experience
  • Data-driven, a commercial mindset with good relationship skills and powers of persuasion
  • Good use of Google Analytics
  • Good ability to think on their feet and solve problems
  • Exposure to development and hands-on implementation of digital marketing campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge across social media platforms
  • Strong organisational, project skills with excellent team-working skills
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse workload and working under pressure
  • Interest and/or experience in motorsport is desirable but not fundamental

  • Successful implementation of an integrated content marketing strategy to support key series, increase SEO reach, improve channel performance and grow website traffic
  • Improvement of full customer journey through development of new content
  • Extension of our reach through social networks – both through organic and paid means
  • Identification and adoption of new techniques and technologies to enhance business performance
