Reporting to the Arrow McLaren SP IndyCar Director of Engineering in our Indianapolis location, this position encompasses responsibilities described below.
Role Overview:
The Damper Technician is responsible for builds of all damper, spring, and third components, including physical assembly and dyno testing. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in assembling high tolerance components. This job will include extensive travel to races and tests, and will be eligible to be a member of the over-the-wall pit crew.
This is a salaried full-time position with a 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits. Many of the meals on the road are provided, to include a daily per diem.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- High School or equivalent required
- Hands-on mechanical experience, preferably automotive or aerospace
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Motorsport experience ideal, not required
- Attention to detail, organized, and proven experience to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Travel requirements include up to 17 race weekends as well as travel for testing over the year
