The Position
An exciting opportunity exists for a new role Cost Performance Analyst to join our expanding Finance Business Partnering team and play a crucial role in optimising spend to develop and manufacture our F1 car. The successful candidate will be required to provide data-driven insight and analysis to support cost-performance decisions under the Financial Regulations.

 

Responsibilities
Note this role does not require a Finance or Accounting background.

This role would be suitable for someone who is a creative problem solver and is comfortable with interrogating data to provide insights and recommendations.

The role will be required to:

  • Support cost optimisation and efficiency projects with the wider business.

  • Critically evaluate and challenge the sections of the Financial Regulations, clarifications and proposed changes and model the impacts.

  • Build and maintain agile costing models that can be used for cost-performance analysis.

  • Support the tracking of financial and regulatory KPIs to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Scenario planning and sensitivity analysis including attrition forecasting and tracking.

  • Interrogate large volumes of data to present metrics that encourage data-driven decision making.

  • Work closely with the team lead and functional Business Partners in identifying opportunities and risks to maximise the value of spend.

  • Support with cost cap submissions and improvements in reporting.

  • Critically approach adhoc project work and develop logical solutions.

Required Skills

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Degree or equivalent with a strong academic and/or professional development record.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrable expertise with data modelling and insights that support driving change in organisations.

  • Experience working with detailed regulations, standards or legal documents and their practical application is desirable.

  • Strong capability to use latest business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) to interrogate data and problem solve.

  • Able to provide examples of successfully working within a team and cross-departmental collaboration and problem solving.

  • Able to demonstrate experience of working on projects with a financial objective such as cost reduction or revenue generation.

  • Experience of manufacturing and/or engineering industry is desirable but not essential.

  • Experience in Finance is not necessarily required.
