Role Overview
We are looking for a Cost Engineering Analyst to join our team.
Your main contribution is the generation and preparation of ideas to improve profitability, with the focus on component pricing.
The challenge is to bridge functional gaps between engineering, design, finance, and purchasing to support vehicle cost initiatives and to build up bottom-up cost targets for components as well as making suggestions to improve overall vehicle profitability top down.
You have a curious mind that adapts to new challenges and finds creative solutions that contribute overall to company profitability.
Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of automotive processes and technology, BEV experience a plus
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
- Benchmarking and/or cost-teardown experience strongly preferred
- Experience in working with suppliers or supplier experience (Tier1/2) preferred
- Cost accounting experience preferred - willing to learn required
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership of your vision for the future of eMobility
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering or Similar Field w/ some technical exposure
- Willing to learn software applications or prior experience (such as Teamcenter PCM, aPriori, or similar costing software/cost models…)
