Coordinator, Officiating and Event Management

NASCAR Event Management seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Officiating and Event Management.

The Coordinator, Officiating and Event Management position will be responsible for management of Event Procedure Regulations, rules enforcement, Pit Road Officiating and Damage Vehicle Policy at national series race events.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analysis, management and rules enforcement of Event Procedures rules within the Sporting Regulations. Specific concentration of Event Procedures, Pit Road Officiating, Damage Vehicle Policy, and the NASCAR Deterrent Model and Appeals.

  • Management of Pit Road Officiating and/or Damage Vehicle Policy during race events. On-track activity support, including series practice and qualifying activities.

  • Management and enforcement or all event related procedures outlined in the NASCAR Rule Books. Expertise in in this area is required.

  • Assist Managing Director of Officiating and Event Management, as needed.

  • Approximate travel 75% including holidays and weekend.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university ;and/or a minimum of two years of racetrack or similar event management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient skills on company provided hardware and software.  Experience and familiarity with the Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Webex.

  • Organizational skills as well as critical thinking in a fast-paced, high pressure environment is essential.

  • Strong communications skills are a must in a setting where teamwork is critical to success and interactions with various industry stakeholders outside the organization play a key role.
