Coordinator, Office Operations - Event Worker

Nestled on more than 1,400 acres in the Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a track rich in racing history. It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time that has made it a favorite of race fans and drivers alike for more than 50 years. Michigan International Speedway has more than 12 campground and is the state of Michigan’s largest registered campground. In addition to two great weekends of racing, the speedway is home to events throughout the year including the MIS Backyard Hockey Tournament, Faster Horses Festival and Nite Lites.

Term:      Seasonal February 1st to November 30th Annually

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Phone Etiquette and Customer Service Skills
  • Strong Computer Skills with ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment and work within Web based applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Ability to maintain spreadsheets and files
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and able to multi-task
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day Admin Front Desk/Guest Services/Ticket Operations
  • Greeting/assisting all guests
  • Shipping/Receiving/Daily Office Mail for all departments
    • Record incoming UPS, Fed-X and USPS packages daily & communicate to recipients
    • Utilize SendPro online to ship all outgoing packages/mail as needed
  • Assist with Ticket Operations Event preparation
  • Supervise the Admin Box Office on Race Week
    • Provide support to Guest Services with camping patron inquiries
  • Collection, recording, filing of Guest Service Groups COI’s, MVR’s and Rosters
  • Assist other departments in Admin as needed with special projects
  • Oversee the Lost and Found for all events including but not limited to storing items, updating the file and making efforts to contact patrons accordingly
  • Types and formats documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in Microsoft applications.
  • Some nights and weekends required
