Controls Software Engineer

A rare and exciting opportunity to join our highly successful Body Controls software development team as a Control Software Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of embedded control algorithms, diagnostics and calibration for Body controller systems. The role brings unparalleled levels of responsibility, ownership and direct involvement with our world leading products. 

Experience

  • Controller software requirements capture and detailed software design
  • Model-based control software development and verification
  • AUTOSAR application software component development
  • Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration
  • Good Control theory background
  • Compliance to industry standards such as ISO26262 and ASPICE.
  • Experience with vehicle networking standards such as CAN, LIN and potentially Ethernet

Skills, knowledge, abilities

  • Body or associated vehicle systems development experience
  • Simulink model-based code development
  • Matlab scripting and debugging capabilities
  • Autosar standard software development
  • Logical thinking and a broad understanding of vehicle systems
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Familiarity with issue/bug tracking tools such as Mantis or JIRA

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Software debugging capability (CANape, CANalyzer, UDE-debugger or similar)
  • Vehicle-based software calibration 
  • Experience with programming/debugging high level code e.g. C, Python
  • Electronic or Automotive Engineering Degree.
