Controls Software Engineer

Prospero Engineering are on the look out for aspiring Controls Software Engineers looking to work on some of the most exciting Motorsport projects in the UK.

We are looking for a hands on coder to translate requirements into reliable software for the purposes of motion or position control system in Simulink. You will need to have a solid understanding in low level languages understanding the theory behind the models. You will be responsible for functional testing your software in HIL testing responding to any bugs or errors quickly and efficiently.

I am currently looking for a Controls Software Engineer for a high profile high performance automotive project based in the Milton Keynes Area.

The ideal candidate would have desire and interest to work in the automotive/motorsport industry and happy to work in a fast paced environment where strict deadlines are common.

2-3 years’ experience of embedded control systems, writing software in Simulink.
Experience of dSpace HIL rigs would be beneficial.
Solid grasp of low level programming concepts

A background of high-end motorsport/Formula 1 and an appreciation that deadline is everything, so there may be some long working hours or weekend working.

The opportunity is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis, with an immediate start and ending Sept 2020 (fixed date). The contract term would vary dependent on start date. Consideration would be given to experienced contractors.
