COMPOSITE CNC MACHINIST / PROGRAMMER – weekend night shift

We have a number of opportunities in our Composite Trim Shop for the weekend night shift, the hours are 7pm to 7.30am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A shift allowance is payable for working this shift.

Reporting to the Trim Shop Manager the role requires the programming and machining of composite components to a consistently high standard. You will be required to liaise with different departments including the Design Office, Laminating and Composite Production therefore a good level of communication will be advantageous.
Applicants must have previous experience using multi-axis CNC machining centres with Heidenhain, Anilam and Windows controllers; machining carbon inserts, bodywork, suspension and jigs; and good working knowledge of programming with Catia V6 and X17. You must have the ability to produce program and tooling records for all components made; be able to run more than one machine at a time; and maintain a thorough and effective handover record for other shifts.

The successful candidate will be a qualified craftsperson with a proven background in F1 or precision engineering.
