CNC Metal Machinist

Tickford Racing, an elite team in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship has an opening for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in 2019.

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptionally skilled CNC Machinist to work within our modern machining facility, assisting in the production of a variety of complex machined components.

Duties include setting and operating our range on DMG Mori / Mori Seiki and Mazak CNC equipment including multi-axis machining centres and 3 axis milling.  Candidates are expected to have a high level of computer literacy and fluency with various programming languages.  Experience with CAM programming using Siemens UG NX is advantageous.

The successful candidate must be committed, motivated and self-disciplined and have a mindset of continuous improvement in their work.  The candidate must have a ‘can do’, ‘team playing’ attitude and the ability to work under minimal supervision and in a professional manner.

This opportunity is also open to exceptional 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices, who have a passion for Engineering and an enthusiastic work ethic, seeking to further their skills in offline CAM programming, and prototype low run volume work.

This is a technically challenging role and you must be committed to achieving aggressive production targets, with a flexible approach to work in order to meet race team deadlines as and when production demands require.
