CNC Machinist

​THE ROLE

​Due to company expansion and new projects on the horizon, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machinist to support of busy Machine Shop Department. 

​Duties will include:

  • Writing and proving programs for all machines as required using Heidenhaim controls.

  • Set up jobs on machines.

  • Machine parts to customer specification, record contract documentation, complete time sheets correctly and maintain high standards of workmanship.

  • Maintaining and controlling a current program register.

  • Maintaining and controlling a current tool inventory, (all machines and cupboards).

  • Clean machines as appropriate.

  • Continual check of coolant levels on machines.

  • Operate manual machines-milling, lathe, grinder, hand drill.

​WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

​The ideal candidate should:

  • Be educated to a good technician level.

  • Have at least 3 years' experience with  CNC Turner/Miller. 

  • Have an enthusiastic and competitive attitude.

  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Be able to program CNC Machines. 

  • Have the ability to read engineering drawings, inspect own work and work on small and large batches using various materials to tight tolerances.

​The role requires a consistently high level of performance and quality in a highly pressurised and time sensitive environment. The role would suit a self-motivated team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
