Purpose
As a member of our mechanical Inspection Team and reporting to our Inspection Manager, you will be responsible for the quality Inspection of our metallic components manufactured in our internal Machine Shop.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carrying out first off, in process and final inspection processes in our Machine Shop
- Detailed inspection of complex components and assemblies to the highest standards
- To work with internal and external suppliers to ensure high quality components are always delivered
- To write CMM programmes using PCDMIS software, using CAD models
- To liaise with designers & the Inspection team with regards to best practises
- To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times. To respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
- To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of F1 manufacturing processes
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Must be fully conversant with PCDMIS online and offline 2020-2021 programming
- Experience with Romer / Faro arm scanning using Polyworks software is an advantage
- Essential to have a proven track record within manufacturing, preferably Motorsport
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of all inspection activities
- Be fully conversant with GD&T and standard drawing practises
- To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
- Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
- To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment

The role will be based in the Machine Shop at our Silverstone premises.
