CMM Programmer

As a member of our Inspection Team and reporting to our Inspection Manager, you will be responsible for the offline programming in PCDMIS for the CMM inspection of our metallic manufactured components.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To write offline programmes using PCDMIS software, using CAD models
  • Successful on time delivery of assigned CMM programmes in line with the company’s tight deadlines
  • To liaise with designers & the Inspection team with regards to best practises
  • To ensure any special tooling/gauging requirements are agreed and communicated to the relevant personnel
  • To assist with Inspection duties when required
  • To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times. To respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
  • To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of F1 manufacturing processes

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Must be fully conversant with PCDMIS online and offline 2020-2021 programming.
  • Essential to have scanning experience
  • Essential to have a proven track record within manufacturing, preferably Motorsport
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of all inspection activities
  •   Be fully conversant with GD&T and standard drawing practises
  •  To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  •  Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • Be results driven and be confident in your decision-making skills
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety

The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory premises.
