The role of Business Office Manager for Polestar China will consist of three parts: 1) Proactively follow up on BEV-related policies in China and its implication to Polestar Business; 2) Lead / coordinate on various regulation-related tasks such as MFG License, Product Certification, Incentive Qualification, Export Approval, etc, particularly via cross-functional and cross-company collaborations (between Polestar, Volvo and Geely). This role will report to the President of Polestar China. This role is based in Shanghai.
Main responsibilities:
- Track and analyze BEV regulations and policies
- Proactively track all BEV-related regulations and policies in China, being formal or informal;
- Teamwork with various teams at Volvo APAC to generate clear executive-oriented reports;
- Teamwork with other stakeholders at Polestar and Volvo to analyze the information and provide recommendations to Polestar Management Team;
- Lead / coordinate on regulation-related tasks
- Lead or coordinate on various regulation-related tasks for Polestar, including but not limited to MFG License, Product Certification, Incentive Qualification, Export Approval, etc;
- Manage these tasks together with multiple functions across Polestar, Volvo and Geely in China and possibly in Sweden / other countries
Requirements and Personal qualities:
- Strong experience in working in strategy, GA, business planning or similar areas
- Solid knowledge about BEV technologies and related industrial setup
- Strong capabilities in managing cross-functional and intra-group (Geely) collaborations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
