Bill Of Material Controller

Are you an experienced Bill of Materials (BOM) Controller interested in working in a fast-paced environment, planning materials and production for prestigious motorsport projects? We are currently seeking a Bill of Materials (BOM) Controller to ensure that Production Schedule Inputs are supported with accurate BOMs, Works Order Routings and Part Master set up.

Our Bill of Materials (BOM) Controller will

  • Create BOMs as production planning dictates and liaise with the relevant project team to ensure that the BOMs accurately reflect what is required
  • Develop and apply Works Order routings
  • Interpret Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) into documents suitable for Manufacturing and Materials planning
  • Ensure all parts contained in the BOM are correctly set up and structured in Sage 200 Manufacturing
  • Monitor requirements of the Master Production Schedule to ensure that all demand has a relevant BOM to support it
  • Receive Engineering Change Notices and interpret relevant data to update BOMs with respect to added items, deleted items, quantity changes, corrections and effective dates
  • Meet tight deadlines, maintain a high level of attention to detail whilst adapting quickly to cope with continuous changes

About You

  • In depth knowledge of Bill of Material structures for planning and manufacturing
  • Experience of ERP/MRP operating systems such as Sage 200 manufacturing
  • Worked in a fast-paced precision engineering or manufacturing environment with tight deadlines
  • Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings
