Role Overview

We are looking for an Auto Shows & Events Specialist.  This candidate will have experience to support the planning and execution of auto shows and lifestyle events. In this role you will be responsible for helping to develop and execute the lifestyle and auto event vision, which will foster the growth of our customer base as well as its engagement along the customer journey. This role is expected to help the team deliver on cost efficiencies with effective targeted performance in a highly logical, yet forward thinking environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Auto Shows and Events, this role will coordinate with the Digital Marketing team and Communications team to support collaboration, communication, and ensure a high level of excellence is achieved with each event execution.

Candidates for this role must have strong communication skills to maximize engagement in a frequently evolving landscape. The right candidate has experience in events, providing strategic insights and effective countermeasures relating to overarching KPIs in sales, reservations and registrations.

The role is based in Manhattan Beach, CA.

What you will do: 

  • Help develop and execute creative events and auto shows that engage our customer in different moments in their customer journey
  • Generate unique and innovative ideas for customer activation and customer development
  • Support planning and executing the events and auto show marketing calendar in line with business objectives 
  • Coordinate with the auto show agency to manage weekly/monthly status, and provide countermeasures and evaluations
  • Monitor all relevant performance KPIs and conversion metrics and take actions to improve them
  • Work in a team setting to establish and plan detailed schedules for all events 
  • Hands-on coordination of logistics and preparation for VIP visits to auto shows & events 
  • Collect feedback and reflect on events to enhance future events
  • Assist with other corporate projects in the strategic planning function
  • Create presentation materials and other documents to support events and projects
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing and Sales Development to develop the most effective lead generation methods for all tradeshows and events
  • Provides ongoing reporting of autohows and events activity, including budget spend and forecasts, lead generation, presentations, and matrices 

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in events, auto shows and lifestyle event marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field
  • You have hands-on experience with marketing tools (Microsoft Office, Google Docs or similar), agency management and review and budget tracking.
  • You have fun working with data and can interpret customer behavior into actions to improve our campaigns and communicate insights effectively
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • You have strong project management and organization skills combined with strong attention to detail
  • You are familiar with data compliance requirements (especially GDPR)
  • You communicate fluently in English 
  • You have a strong sense of ownership
