Applications Engineer

Job Description:

Cosworth Electronics provide leading electronics solutions to our global motorsport, automotive, and marine customers. An opportunity has arisen to join our customer programme management team as an Applications Engineer. You will join a team of experienced electronic systems engineers who work at the forefront of motorsport and automotive electrification.  

 

The Role:

  • Provide trackside electronics systems support for our major OEM customers and race series including (WRC, LMDH, Indy Car, GT3, F50 etc) when required.
  • Support customers to maximise the benefits of using Cosworth Electronics systems at the track and in the office.
  • Compile technical documentation for both internal teams and customers to share and improve product knowledge throughout our global user base.
  • Work with customers to assist with development of their race programmes throughout the full programme life cycle from initial scoping through to end of life.
  • Compile customer feedback in combination with direct user experience to provide future enhancements as part of product roadmap and future product activities.
  • Provide support to our in-house software and hardware engineering teams to replicate and diagnose customer issues.
  • Work with our commercial team to develop and present technical solutions to customer opportunities.
  • Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
  • Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Supports and demonstrates our core values – we are enthusiastic, ambitious, respectful and dedicated in our work and interactions with our customers and each other.
  • Automotive/Mechanical/Electronic engineering qualification.
  • Knowledge in electronic systems, ideally in motorsport or automotive applications.
  • Experience in a customer facing role.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving under pressure.
  • Able to efficiently manage and prioritise workload to support company objectives.
  • Full driving license and a passport for international travel.
  • Experience with calibration tools or control systems would be beneficial.
