ADM Technician (Weekend)

We are currently looking for a Weekend Shift ADM Technician to fill a new and exciting position within our Aston Martin Performance Manufacturing (Formtech) Division.

 

PURPOSE

  • To support the ADM Department in all activities
  • To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Competent technology specific part programming.
  • Basic Programming in all other technologies.
  • Competent machine maintenance in a specific technology.
  • Basic machine maintenance in all other technologies.
  • Competent machine operation in a specific technology.
  • Basic machine operation of all other technologies
  • Post process all technologies.
  • Monitor Consumables and notify critical levels.
  • Operate in line with the dept aim of 5S lean manufacturing.
  • Attend meetings where necessary.
  • Follow established production plans to meet aggressive wind tunnel and full-size programmes.
  • Support the definition and implementation of processes.
  • Quality Control – Follow implemented procedures and raise awareness of any issues.
  • Carry out any tasks as deemed necessary as delegated by your superiors and delegate to subordinates where appropriate.
  • To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
  • Be on call as part of a rota for 1 week in 5.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Possess a good working knowledge of 3D Systems/Stratasys/Materialise Software and Hardware
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Rapid Manufacturing Technologies
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Post Processing of 3D Printed Parts
  • Previous experience as a Rapid Manufacturing Technician or similar in a Formula One environment / high level Motorsport environment is advantageous.
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
