Nicholson McLaren Engines

About

Nicholson McLaren Engines (NME) was founded in 1972 by John Nicholson to maintain the Cosworth DFV engines for McLaren Racing.

McLaren’s F1 World Championship wins in 1974 and 1976 with their drivers James Hunt and Emerson Fittipaldi were powered by NME.

Further successes followed through the 80s and 90s in F3000 and Group C2 Le Mans. This success continues today with our clients competing in historic Formula One, Group C, Classic Endurance Racing (CER), Masters Series, Sprint and hill climb events in Europe and Australia.

We are extremely proud to be the engine suppliers to the champions in The MSA British Hill Climb Championship for the last 10 seasons.
